Copenhagen for Garden Lovers

I love travelling and discovering new parts of the world. As a gardener, I always try to make sure to visit some gardens or parks when I travel. Different countries have such a different style in gardening as well as the variety of plants.

One of my favourite cities in the world is Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The city is brimming with activity, just like any other capital city of the world, while at the same time exhibiting a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. So as soon as you’re allowed to, book a room at a design hotel in Copenhagen and get on the plane.

Valby Park Rose Garden

When visiting Copenhagen during summer, Valby Park is not to be missed. The park has more than 12 000 roses and is a perfect place to spend at least one full day. It is easy to be overwhelmed by the amount of greenery and flowers, but you’re sure to find a lot of new ideas and wonderful must-haves for your own garden.

Botanical Garden

As always botanical gardens are well worth a visit. In the Copenhagen one you’ll find 27 old glasshouses. One of them, called the old Palm House, dates back to 1847. Through a narrow spiral staircase You can reach a passageway 16 metres up, making for an amazing experience and view.

Naturally, there are lots of Danish plants in this garden, but one greenhouse has been dedicated to keeping an arctic climate displaying part of the Arctic flora.
